Waverly Community Demonstrates Why Ceasefire Movement is Important

After the third weekend of Ceasefire Baltimore, there were zero killings throughout the weekend, a truly impressive milestone in the birth of the movement in August of 2017 where each weekend previous had been foiled by a murder to disrupt the peace rallies.  As violence in the city of Baltimore has gone to record highs in 2017 Baltimore residents have turned to acts of peace and demonstrations such as the Ceasefire.  Each weekend has grown into something a little bit more special with additional organizations and individuals joining the cause.   One of the newer organizations that participated in the weekend is the Better Waverly Community Organization where they set up an event to advocate for safe and nonviolent communities.
